When I left Boston to move to Washington State in early 1998 I was looking for
a quiet lifestyle and yet a place to make a culinary impact. When I found my way
to Port Townsend I knew I was home. I thought "what a beautiful place".

On my tour of town I came across The Public House and it had all the potential
I was looking for. Now a year and one half later, I believe we offer "the place"
for creative American cuisine with a strong focus on local and indigenous foods.
My goal is to put Port Townsend on the map not just for its natural beauty but
as a destination for dining out.
