Joann Saul ~ Entrepreneur

Joann’s culinary and management expertise has won her recognition as Port Townsend’s leading woman in business. Nominated as Port Townsend’s Business Leader of the Year in 1999 and receiving the award in 2000, she continues to set the bar for excellence in her chosen field.

A bit about Joann
Joann and her husband, Bryan moved the family to Port Townsend permanently in 1995. The relocated from Anchorage, Alaska, where Joann had been the General Manager of Food Service Operations for Boyne USA Resorts on The Anchorage Golf Course. In 1996, Joann took her first step into PT’s civic life with her appointment by the City Council to the Port Townsend Lodging Tax Advisory Board, a seat she held for two years. Currently, Joann is the Vice President of The Northwest Maritime Center, a board she has given two service years. Concurrently, she acts as Pin Sales Coordinator for the 2005 Rhododendron Festival.
A strong family life is also of great importance to Joann. The upbringing of her twin boys and her daughter is of great priority. When time permits after work and the kids, you may see Joann digging in the dirt, traveling, or sailing with her family on their wooden sailboat, an Ingrid 38, unless of course there is yet another endless project to do on their uptown Victorian home currently undergoing major renovations.
